XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today shared the latest tutorial video for STORY OF SEASONS, preparing fans for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS release on March 31st. The adorable video series continues, showing players how their everyday farming duties can take them to exciting lands in the new Safari mode, and highlighting the farmers and their animal buddies as they enter a competition called the “Fuzzy Festival”.
STORY OF SEASONS is the beginning of a new chapter in the ‘Bokujo Monogatari’ series, a long-standing and top-selling farming/life simulation franchise. Though the series is reborn with a new name, it continues the well-loved traditions of customizable farms, animal care, and relationship building in the hopes of getting married and starting a family. After creating a customized character, players can live out a new life by cultivating their favorite fruits and vegetables while expanding and filling their farm with their choice of animals. Fans of past games in the series will love the many new additions on display here, including an enhanced variety of seeds, pets, and other ways to make their farms truly their own. But the major addition is the new theme of ‘connectivity,’ as trading with other countries will help grow the player’s crop variety and wallet, as well as the prosperity of the entire town. Players can also connect locally or via Internet connection to visit one another’s farms and tend crops as a team, expanding both their harvests and their friendships.
Developed in Japan by Marvelous Inc., STORY OF SEASONS will be published in North America by XSEED Games, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. The game will be available on March 31, 2015, for physical and digital release at participating retailers and in the Nintendo eShop for $39.99. GameStop, Amazon.com, EB Games and other participating retailers will be offering a special Angora rabbit “pocket plushie” as a pre-order bonus, which will be available for pickup together with the game, but only while supplies last.
This game has been rated “E10+” for Everyone ages 10 and up by the ESRB with the descriptors Alcohol Reference, Mild Suggestive Themes and Violent References.
