XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe Announce October 21 Launch Date for Over-The-Top Brawler UPPERS on PC
Slam-Dunking Enemies into Manholes and Uppercutting Them into Helicopters is Just Another Day on Last Resort Island
Torrance, Calif. – October 9, 2020 – XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., jointly announced with Marvelous Europe today that UPPERS, the over-the-top beat-em-up from Honey∞Parade Games, will be launching for Windows PC via Steam on October 21. Originally released in Japan for PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system in 2016, the PC version packs a punch with a fully remastered presentation supporting 60 frames per second and native resolutions well above 1080p. The base game will be available for $29.99, €29.99, and £24.99, while a Digital Deluxe Edition including a soundtrack with 46 tracks and a digital version of the art book highlighting the character designs by acclaimed designer Hiroaki Hashimoto will be available for $39.99, €39.99, and £34.99. To celebrate the occasion there will be a 15% launch week discount.
With the PC release, players will have the ultimate UPPERS experience with all previously released DLC included in the base game, such as Daidoji from the SENRAN KAGURA series as a bonus playable character. The game will be available for the first time in English but also include French, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, all while retaining the original Japanese text and voices. Take control of varied fighters each with their own fiery combos and hellacious finishing moves, please fans with spectacular combos to be rewarded handsomely, and utilize the environment to your advantage by throwing cars, bicycles and motorbikes. Finish off your opponents by slam dunking them into a manhole or uppercutting them into a passing helicopter – the possibilities are endless!

Set on the otherwise deserted island of Last Resort, UPPERS puts players in control of up to 13 characters in perpetual combat against battle-hungry punks who freely stalk the island looking for trouble, accompanied by a squad of thrill-seeking girls determined to see their favorite fighter as the victor. Follow the multi-layered story of violence, betrayal, and redemption as these brawlers fight to be the strongest on Last Resort Island.
Each character is equipped with a unique fighting style and special combos, ranging from rugged street brawlers and wrestlers to trained martial artists. The more characters pummel their enemies, the more popular they will become with fans, earning power ups to help them stand victorious in street battles. The girls also issue challenges in return for reward bonuses, which can be used in the in-game shop and gym to dress up or improve characters.
