Torrance, Calif. – July 21, 2015 – XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced that Onechanbara Z2: Chaos, the long-awaited new entry in the high-octane Onechanbara action series, is now available in North America exclusively for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. The game is available digitally via PlayStation®Store for $39.99, as well as in a limited “Banana Split” retail release for $49.99, the latter of which includes a soundtrack CD containing almost a full 80 minutes of music from both this game and its Japan-only predecessor Onechanbara Z: Kagura, an 80-page softcover “Behind the Bikini” book featuring artwork and backstory from both games, and a code to download the “Strawberries & Banana” premium DLC costume.
This latest iteration of the Onechanbara sexy zombie slayer series ups the ante with two sets of buxom vampire sisters and over a dozen stages of high-octane real-time swordplay featuring hordes of undead creatures—not to mention wildly inventive methods of dispatching these fearsome opponents. Players will square off against monstrous foes in various worldwide locations, causing limbs and blood to fly every which way by means of physical attacks and acrobatic maneuvers alike. Occasionally, players may even transform into demons for short bursts of added power and speed, but at the cost of life energy. Each of the four members of this “Zombie Punitive Force” has her own unique abilities, and skillful play is rewarded with orbs that can be exchanged for upgraded weapons and outfits. For the first time in the series, players can enjoy the game with full English voice-acting or play through with the original Japanese performances.
Developed by D3 Publisher and Tamsoft, Onechanbara Z2: Chaos is now available throughout North America in both physical and digital formats exclusively for PS4™. This title has been rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB. NIS America will be releasing the PAL version of Onechanbara Z2: Chaos on August 28, 2015.
