We're all old now.
My back certainly is.
Followup to my previous mess of a post on this series now that I've gotten back to that page I posted previously in my re-read: within context, it's still very goofy but makes more sense. The idea with it is that Killgrave basically was fully set off to a point of blinding anger. It makes more sense than just taking that page out of context but it's still really goofy.
I also forgot that Killgrave basically doesn't exist in the comic for like 80% of it. The majority of it is just her doing her job as a P.I. with him only really showing up at the end, and even then it's a pretty anticlimatic showdown because it's less a "NOW WE'VE GOT TO STOP HIM" and more a "well, he's already locked up and isn't getting out, but I want to know why he did all this fucked up shit to me and other people to get closure for all of us."
I had thoughts of a big write up I was going to do when I finished but I forgot a lot of them. I might still do it, though, idk. I will say, the comic is still a good story, but it's a very different kind of story for the most part and there's a much lesser focus on JJ's trauma overall despite it clearly being a big part of who she is at that point in time. The comic feels more like a detective story that's a good, cohesive fit into the Marvel universe vs. the show which I think is a better personal story for the characters involved and in general is just better written, but is mostly separated from the MCU. I'll also mention that the early issues feel like they're trying too hard to connect it to the Marvel universe in that there's way too many super heroes. In retrospect, I think limiting the story to just like Captain Marvel, Daredevil, and Luke Cage in their civvies would have made the early parts congeal better.
god don't remind me
Subahibi is on sale on Steam, again.
Are you ready for this?
Are we ever?
I am ready.. now.
What is “this?”
Nobody really knows what "this" is, but whatever it is we do know that he's the best at it.
He's the best in the world at what he does.
Side-note: In order to make sure I wasn't remembering that quote wrong I ended up in a part of this thread from 2011 and now I'm having an existential crisis and a deep nostalgic melancholy.
How is everyone else?
Overslept today but otherwise pretty well. Yourself?
Very sad! But I think I'll get over it.
I haven't the foggiest idea.
I assume related to the backtracking?
Ammy exists in a quantum state.
But he never forgets.
This isn't inaccurate.
By the way, if any of y'all have Pokemon Sword/Shield, add me: SW-3937-9306-0498
Did we add each other already I forget?
I don't know, but either way, shoot me a request. Worst case scenario, it'll just say that you've already added me.
Coo, I'll do it when I am like awake. Working graveyard is a trip.
Maractus tho. It is the Stunfisk of Gen 8.
I think a certain other thing will have you saying this...
