In that case, it's something even movies don't even touch.

As for the Sony thing, some of the changes are sure weird. So they showed that Nekopara (with where cat people ages are kinda questionable in that universe, are adults) that there were cuts to boob jiggle features, as well as adding more smoke so you can see less boob (and less thigh? I dunno why it was added in there...)
(I stick in spoiler cause NSFWish) I feel like in this context, it's one of those "age doesn't matter in the case" situations. As long as moe is still a thing, most characters period will just look young.

It's not the laws applying here, though. It's the public perception of the content. My comment was people use age of consent to dictate whether a person is a minor or not. So in the US these are minors, in Japan they are not. So it's a touchy subject (funny seeing how they took all the touching out xD ), but what it ultimately comes down to is are we able to say our values trump theirs? That's where censorship gets tough for me, as I don't want people to sexualize children, of course not. However, I don't want to tell a country that their culture is wrong and that our culture and morals are superior, as that's just not fair to do.

Either way though, my original comment still stands; who gives a stink if the touching stuff is gone, it didn't really add much. I can still make my characters to my liking, and still get the satisfying gameplay. I just think this is not the battle to fight so hard on. If they were drastically changing story, or forcing XSEED to outright change the characters or something severe, I'd care much more. But this honestly just seems a little ridiculous to be so upset over, imo.

So ready for moe to go-e (see what I did there? :3 ). I want the good anime designs back; Utena, Iria, all the old ones come to mind.

Yeah, I miss the 90's anime character designs... I know a lot of people think they look dated but they both looked like adults, and felt more visually defined in general.

So, I've had Song of Memories ordered from pQube for a while now, and there's no date currently due to ongoing "development delays"... nobody's said anything about Sony, but I wouldn't be surprised at this point.

Still there is the Switch version of Song of Memories if the PS4 one falls through, which looks inevitable at this point. UNLESS pQube decides to cancel all versions because of Sony, I mean PS4 is kind of a huge blow since it has the biggest install base, I really hope that doesnt happen though :/

I might switch my pre-order to Switch if so. PS4 had been my go-to console, but it's filling up and they are being a pain in the butt. It was supposed to be out "summer" but yeah who knows. I don't think it had objectional content in it, though?

I am probably asking in the wrong area but, how possible would it be for Xseed Games/Marvelous to port the Senran Kagura PS4 games to Xbox One? Especially with none of the censorship that Sony forced onto Burst Re:Newal? Maybe add some Xbox One X enhancements? Just curious.

Probably highly unlikely. Plus, they're already on PC. Porting a niche Japanese series to XBOX One sounds like a great way to throw your money down the drain.

And yet, if they were to announce that would happen, how many fans would by the ports? Also I don't have a good enough PC to play the series on that platform and upgrades would involve a new motherboard, ram cards, a decent gpu and a new cooling system. Also, I am worried about what Valve is doing with Steam and their recent policies, the same if not worse policies that Sony has with the PlayStation brand.

Ultimately, it's Japan first, and Xbox was never exactly popular there, as Cryrobinson was saying. So even if there is western appeal, they'd probably be losing money in Japan, which... yeah. At the very least, that means the western release has to work overtime to make up for poor sales in Japan.

Out of the loop here; what are you referring to? Last thing I heard was a game where you mainly (or only) rape women not being sold on Steam. Cuz other than that, I've been under the impression that Valve's been okay with even hentai/porno games.

Valve has had like the most relaxed policies for far too long that I have heard too, unless something has changed. That rape game getting as far as it did was a testament to how shitty Valve did their job, the dev said they never thought they would get that far.

It's basically all over the place. They seem to mostly be target Visual Novels, yet it's all over the place. Like, some VNs that are SUPER ecchi/pretty much hentai have been allowed in, but games with lesbians and not even that bad of scenes, have been flagged. Then the game mentioned above was never flagged either. So yeah, there's no standards right now with what they allow/don't allow.

Seems like they automate everything that gets greenlit :/ Time to use a human, now? And put in actual guidelines (like Sony should be doing...)

Man that's gross...they can't be getting so many games they can not have humans go through them... whatever algorithm they have in place is not working.

What is worse is that it isn't an algorithm doing this. Certain games are looked at by people and either band or allowed. Am I allowed to post links? If not, the only thing I can suggest is type in at google (or what ever search engine you use) Valve/Steam bans games.

Also I should have noted the Xbox One ports of the SK games I was suggesting was for western releases (like FF13 on 360 was for awhile).
