The Vita will be the lair of Metroidvania games soon enough, it's already getting La-Mulana soon.

Man, I wish that I still had my list of games that I bought this year, but it was lost when the XSEED Forums went down. ;~; I could try putting it back together, but that would be tricky...

You're getting boxed SFC Popful Mail, Tom? Welcome to the club! I love the packaging/art for it (and it was a hell of a lot cheaper than the other versions iirc, lol)

I asked before, but it's been so long I forgot, how much did you pay for the boxed SFC version? :3 Wasn't it like 30 bucks?

With the Retron 5 coming out, I might be able to start dipping into SFC games myself... :3 Or I could get the original hardware, I guess.

It was a low-key announcement that I saw at NeoGAF.

Yeah, the cover image for that game is so very '80s anime, and thus so unbelievably appealing. ;) Ever see the No No Pessimist video?

    https://www.youtube....h?v=GrQNZe8wz0U

I always think of that now whenever I see that box art.

And that is not at all a bad thing.

I managed to snag mine for around $25, so yeah, that's about right.

Yeah, the Retron-5 is what's got me on this retro-gaming kick. I sure hope it lives up to its promise!

Birthday was yesterday so the good brother got me $100 worth of Amazon credit for whatever. Another gaming buddy also gave me a copy of Pokemon Y so that will probably take up any valuable gaming time I get this next week.

I see, cool, thank you. :3 I will keep my eyes peeled if I get the Retron 5. The only thing that bugs me about it, kind of a lot, if that you can't connect it to a CRT TV, so bye bye light gun games... if you get one before me, you will have to tell me how it is. :3 I want one, but I like classic gaming on a CRT TV...

Hahah, yeah, Tom, I've seen it.

And the first time I heard about Popful Mail and looked it up, the images definitely gave a bit of a Slayers vibe, or thats what I thought anyways.

I thought the same thing. I wonder if Kunihiko Tanaka (Xenogears, Xenosaga I, X wiiu character designer) designed Mail... That's what it says on his Wikipedia page and I've always wondered if it was true. I love his style. I picked up Demon's Souls recently, I can't wait to get into that since I got a PS3 about 2 months ago.

They're $10 each. Not sure how long they're on sale, but if it's only for a week it'll end on Tuesday.

No tax for me. I'm pretty sure there's no tax on PSN as a whole, but I could be wrong.

Actually, they're on sale through NEXT Tuesday. So you have a wee bit more time to work with. But not much, so you should still hurry up! ;)
